April 2018, Exports of Sumatera Utara decreased by 2.91 percent

Abstract

Export value through loading port in North Sumatera region in April 2018 decreased compared to March 2018, from US $ 758.65 million to US $ 736.57 million or decreased by 2.91 percent. When compared to April 2017, exports of North Sumatra decreased by 5.09 percent.
The greatest decline in export value of North Sumatera in April 2018 to March 2018 occurred in fat and animal / vegetable oil category (HS 15) which decreased by US $ 28.69 million (-9.90%) followed by rubber and rubber goods class (HS 40) of US $ 8.97 million (-7.77%), and various chemical products (HS 38) of US $ 4.80 million (-5.22%).
Exports to the United States in April 2018 were the largest of US $ 92.37 million, followed by China with US $ 60.02 million and India with US $ 58.44 million with contribution of up to 28.62 percent.
According to export destination countries in April 2018, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US $ 241.04 million (32.72 percent).
