Abstract

The Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) of Sumatera Utara in the first quarter of 2018 was 101.22, meaning that the consumer economic condition in the first quarter of 2018 was better than the fourth quarter of 2017. The improvement in the consumer's economic condition was mainly driven by the increase in consumption volume , 02).
Compared with ITK in quarter IV of 2017 worth 109.73, it means that the level of consumer optimism in the first quarter of 2018 is lower compared to the fourth quarter of 2017.
Compared to the provinces of Sumatra, Sumatera Utara index value of Quarter I-2018 is ranked sixth.
The value of ITK in Sumatera Utara in the second quarter of 2018 is estimated at 104.23, meaning that the consumer economic condition in the second quarter of 2018 is predicted to be better than the first quarter of 2018. The level of consumer optimism is mainly driven by the high estimated future revenues with index value of 112 ,13.
