Nias Selatan Economy in 2024 to Grow by 3.82 percent

Abstract

The economy of South Nias in 2024 grew by 3.82 percent, showing an increase compared to 2023, which experienced a growth of 3.65 percent.
Based on the production approach by business sector, the highest growth was recorded in the healthcare and social activities sector at 6.61 percent, followed by the information and communication sector at 6.08 percent, and the public administration, defense, and mandatory social security sector at 5.73 percent.
From the expenditure approach, the highest growth was observed in the consumption of Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households (NPISH) component at 10.17 percent, followed by household consumption at 3.78 percent and government consumption at 3.66 percent.
Nominally, the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of South Nias Regency in 2024 at current prices reached IDR 9,128.45 billion, while at constant prices, it amounted to IDR 4,806.33 billion.
